Often time I am asked during consultation how much one should eat for optimal health?
In Ayurveda the answer is simple:
1 Anjali is the size of one's own hand cupped. We all have different body size and constitution. The size of our 2 own hands cupped together is just the right amount. Ayurveda also recommends to leave our stomac 1/3 empty to promote good digestion!
How do I feel 2/3 full?
For me, it is the point that I reach when I could eat a little more but I am actually satisfied if I stop right there.
