GOLDEN MILKA traditional ayurvedic drink to support the immune system, help with inflammation such as arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis...
1/4 cup Turmeric Almond oil or ghee Milk from cow, almond or coconut Honey or mapple syrup Make a turmeric base: Combine the turmeric with 1/2 cup water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stir as you lower the heat and simmer until the mixture turns into a thick paste. Cool and scoop into a glass jar and store in the fridge if needed . To use: To make one serving, combine 1/2 to 1 tsp turmeric paste, 1 tsp almond oil or ghee to one cup of warm milk. Add honey or apple syrup if desired. For Kapha unbalances this a little heavy so to make it lighter use goat milk or almond milk, add cinnamon and a pinch of black pepper and/or cayenne and/or ginger powder. only a little bit of honey should be used and I would commit the ghee. For Pitta unbalances coconut milk is recommended. This is a good way to take herbs such as ashwaganda and astragalus. Feel free to be creative..... ENJOY! Questions or feedback? Please do!
