This is a great recipe for a treat, a craving for sweet....excellent for the vata and pitta dosha... and for building strength after giving birth and breast feeding. In one word, nourishing!
1/3 cup blanched almonds
1/3 cup walnuts or hazel nuts
1/3 cup of pumpkin or sunflower seeds
10 pitted ( medjoo)l dates
1/4 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp cinnamon
A pinch or more off ginger, clove and/or nutmeg.
Few drops of rose water or orange oil
Put all the ingredients in a food processor.
Pulse until mixture forms a thick paste.
Refrigerate for an hour and form into bite size balls.
Cover with shredded coconut if desired...
P.S Kapha dosha may have this in great moderation...:(
